Taicang Wugang Terminal Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Taicang Wugang Terminal) was established on August 20, 2003. It is located on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, within the territory of Taicang City, Jiangsu Province. It faces Shanghai Chongming Island across the river. It is planned to be a large-scale specialized bulk cargo terminal in the Yangtze River Delta for loading, unloading, storage and transit of imported iron ore.

The total investment is 2.763 billion yuan. The construction is divided into three phases. It was put into operation at the end of 2008. The total production area is 1.215 million square meters. The Yangtze River coastline is 1095 meters. There are 1 150,000-ton ore unloading berths for each berth, which can reduce the maximum load and berth 250,000-ton ships; the unloading terminal is equipped with 6 bridge-type grab ship unloaders, each with an hourly efficiency of 2,250 tons. The rated efficiency of a single process is 5000t/h (after transformation); there are 4 5,000-ton loading berths, the largest reliable berth for 15,000-ton ships, and 4 2,000-ton loading berths; the yard is equipped with 6 bucket wheels for stacking and reclaiming materials The efficiency of each machine is 5,000 tons (after transformation). The total area of the storage yard is 440,000 square meters, the total storage capacity is about 4.2 million tons, and the annual unloading capacity is over 25 million tons.

In 2020, Taicang Wugang Terminal completed the handling of 29.83 million tons of imported iron ore; the throughput of imported iron ore was 59.11 million tons, and both handling and throughput reached a record high.
